So school is back in whether we like it or not. Some people such as myself are indecisive as to whether to send their kids to the classroom or have them attend online learning.
Regardless of the decision you make- just remember our children are the leaders of tomorrow and so their education is of utmost importance.
Now speaking of education, let’s not forget about our teachers who plays a big role in our kids education.
So in order to keep our kids favorite teachers happy and to relieve them of some of their tension, I have come up with a few first day gift ideas that they will love and appreciate.

Hand Sanitizers, Hand soap and Mask Set
This school year, more than ever, there is a need for teachers to have hand sanitizers and extra masks handy.
Who knows, kids may loose their mask or it may get destroyed during recess and having these extra supplies will become life savers.
Travel Mugs
Who can do without a travel mug? These mug comes in handy more often than you would like.
Teachers are busy bodies just like everyone else. They have families to care for and so, like you and me they are almost in a hurry.
Having a travel mug allows your favorite teacher to grab their coffee, hot chocolate and take it with them on the go.
By the time that they’re ready to teach your little one, they will be energized, awake and ready!
Pencil Case with a pen set.
A pencil case with a pen set is another perfect gift for your favorite teacher, the principal and even the secretary!
One tool which is needed everyday in the world of educators are pens! They are needed to correct our kids papers. They are needed to write their way in remaining organized.
If you do, make sure to throw in a red ink pen in there, because a teacher cannot be a teacher without a red ink pen.
Coffee Mug
A Coffee Mug is another great option that any teacher would love. You can choose one with a message on it or you can choose a plain one.
Whichever one you choose will bring a smile on a teacher’s face every time he or she uses it.
To make it even more special, accompany it with their favorite brand of tea or coffee and they will appreciate it.
Lesson Planner
A lesson planner is a life saver for all teachers. It helps them plan out their weekly lessons, it keeps them organized and above all it helps them keep tabs on things to do and things needed to do.
Choose a planner that consist of daily aspirations and quotes to keep our teacher in a positive mood whilst educating our little ones or a simple journal will do the trick. If not, that’s ok, it’s the thought that counts!
Tote Bag
Having a tote bag is a must haves for teachers. They are needed to carry papers, cards, games, text books and maybe even treats for their students.
A tote bag also has other uses as well such as to carry lunch, groceries and other supplies because of its versatility.
And, a teacher can never have too many tote bags especially if he or she teaches more than one class.
Sharpie and Markers gift set
To perform their job effectively, teachers need to demonstrate and explain using either chalk or more recently Marker and Sharpies on some form of white board. To do this, they will be all sort of colorful markers
Also, lots of kids today are visual learners and learn better when they see pictures, art and drawings on the classroom wall.
For this, teachers will need lots and lots of markers and sharpies to decorate their classroom with visual learning aid. Receiving a set of sharpies and markers will help teachers tremendously and make their job easier.
Pen and Pencil holder
A pen and pencil holder is an excellent gift for a teacher since she or he may have numerous pens and pencil handy in case students need them.
These holders will help keeping all pens and pencil in a neat pile avoiding them from disappearing and running out.
Stationery gift basket
Gifting your kids favorite teacher with gift basket will do more than wonders in their job.
To arrange this gift basket, head to the dollar or online store, grab a pack of pencils, pens, glue stick, Crayola, staples and stapler, tape and neatly arrange it in a basket with a plastic covering and voila..made with love.
Teacher’s Key Chain
One gift which is an absolute must is a key chain. It is small, cute, cheap and sends out the message loud and clear expecially if it is engraved with a few precious words.
Teachers can take it with them everywhere and it will definitely put a smile on their face every time they look at it. Be sure to get one with motivational words to inspire and motivate our teachers like the one above.
Desk Plant
When you’re out of options for a gift, think about a plant! A plant for your teacher’s desk or office is not only thoughtful but will bring help purify the air of the area.
Did you know that plants reduces stress, boost creativity. reduce sicknesses, increase productivity and reduces noise level? Believe it or not but it is true.
If you do consider a desk plant, get on which is low on sunlight and not too much maintenance is needed. We do not want to add another task to the teachers already busy day.
Water bottle
Who needs a water bottle more than our teachers who stand on their feet the entire day and spend hours teaching our children?
I can’t imagine a teacher who wouldn’t use one. Keeping hydrated and quenched is not only required but mandatory for a teacher to remain focused in the classroom.
So hurry and get your kids teacher a much needed water bottle to carry on with her/his day.
Page holder
If you looking for a unique gift for your fav teacher, try a page holder. This gift is not seen too often so gifting one out to your kids teacher will make her feel even more special.
A page holder will come in handy when they are teaching from a textbook, reading on the go and using one hand to hold a book whilst the other is occupied.
Lunch Box
Teachers loves to pack their lunch and snack to take to school. Some teacher even hold a little extra for students who may have forgotten their snack.
Having a good and reliable lunch box is much needed in the world of teaching especially when they’re on a budget.
Gift Cards
You cannot go wrong with giving a teacher a gift card as a gift. This provides them with lots of options.
You can either purchase one from a particular store, an entire mall, or an entire online store like Amazon where they will be free to choose any item or their liking.
